Our 2013 conference at a glance: A year of exploration and triumph

From our early days of careful planning and step backs, we now have a first year we can be proud of. If you remember our conference last year, you may recall our trending topic #TEDxUTSC trending nationally in its very first year, on conference day in February 2013. That’s just one of the few accomplishments we are very proud of achieving in just our first year alone!
Priding ourselves on our three pillars of values – equity, social engagement, and academic cultivation, we were named the “Most Engaging Student Group” by the Principal of UTSC and the Vice Principal of Research. From psychologists to TV hosts, our diverse and talented array of speakers brought praise from faculty, students, and alumni from all three UofT campuses. Engaging a global audience through means of social networking and live streaming, we have broadened our geographical outreach and opened the doors to an international exchange of new insight.
